KING RAMSES II CRUISE

Day 1: Cairo

We welcome you to our home. We will meet and greet you at the airport and transfer you to your Hotel in Cairo.
For those who arrive morning or mid day, don’t forget to look at our
options to experience Cairo more of Cairo.

Day 2: Pyramids and Saqqara

Before we take on the waters during our cruise, we will spend some time on dry land exploring the Giza plateau. Here we find the ancient Pyramids that Egypt is so well known for. The great Sphinx also stands proud on this plateau. Three pyramids down, one to go. The Stepped Pyramid of Djoser, which is a stone throw away, is smaller yet as amazing in design as its neighboring pyramids. After viewing and sensing great mystery, we will make our way to the train station where we will travel overnight to Aswan.

Day 3: Aswan

We arrive in Aswan mid day visiting the High Dam, which is part of Lake Nasser – the largest man made lake in the world. We take a short motorboat trip to the Philae Temple situated on the Agilika island. Tonight we will walk through the Aswan markets where you can attempt bargaining for traditional Egyptian goods. Day 4: Abu Simbel

After breakfast we drive +/- 3-4 hours to where our Cruise Liner is docked. We will board like true captains of the Nile and sail on Lake Nasser to where we will stare in amazement at the temple of King Ramses II. This is truly one of the most majestic temples in all of Egypt, if not all of the world. Spend some time on dry land figuring out the dimensions and mathematics used in designing this masterpiece. As we sail along we will have dinner on board. For those interested, the Sound and Light show of Abu Simbel can be arranged. It is an overnight excursion to watch the temple at sunrise and costs around $35.

Day 5: Kasr Ibrim

Sailing to Kasr Ibrim where your tour will be conducted from the ship's sun deck as entrance to the site is not permitted. Lunch served while sailing to Amada. Visit the temples of Amada and Derr as well as the tomb of Penout followed by a relaxing afternoon sail to Wadi El Seboua.

Day 6: Wadi El-Seboua

This morning we visit Wadi El-Seboua, the temples of Dakka and Meharakka. Lunch and dinner will be served on board as we make a lengthy sail towards Aswan.

Day 7: Aswan / Luxor

In the area of Aswan, we visit the Kalabsha temple, Beit El-Wali . then private transfer to Luxor.

Day 8: Luxor

This morning we will visit the west bank which includes the Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens, the Temple of Hatshepsut and lastly the Colossi of Memnon as we head back to the east bank. The afternoon is yours to spend as you please in the city of Luxor.

Day 9: Luxor

In the morning we visit the east bank temples of Karnak and Luxor. Karnak, considered one of the wonders of the world and Luxor Temple, considered one of the best preserved in all of Egypt, will add onto an amazing temple experience thus far. Late afternoon we get ready to hop on our night train to Cairo.

Day 10: Cairo

We arrive back in Cairo early morning where we will pay a great anticipated visit to the Egyptian Museum. This museum may bring a few facts into perspective that you picked up along the way as you visited all the temples and tombs during our cruise.

Day 11: Transfer to airport

You truly sailed as captains of your own ships with the spirit of
King Ramses II leading you all the way. We trust you had an unforgettable experience.


The overnight trains we take are First Class with comfortable and spacious reclining seats. If you prefer, you may upgrade to a sleeper option, where you get your own private cabin and berth.
